PayPal now supports Buy Now buttons with item names, options, and custom notes in a huge variety of international language encodings, including UTF-8, ISO 8859-1 (Western Latin), Shift-JIS (Japanese), GB2312 (Simplified Chinese), and Big-5 (Traditional Chinese).
This page includes international Buy Now buttons encoded in UTF-8 for single items and shopping carts. Note that you can add items in different languages to your shopping cart, but the final page supports display of all languages!
In addition to supporting all languages for item details in Buy Now buttons, the buyer's interface on PayPal's site can be presented in one of the supported localized languages (English, German, French, and Italian) and no matter your item's international language encoding, the page will be displayed to the user correctly.
